Fancy Flower

This is a card using the extra large fancy flower punch from the Occasions Mini catalog. I CASED the idea but did change it a little. It's a 4x4 square card with 4 small squares cut from the Sending Love specialty paper arranged evenly on top. I used a bone folder and shaped the petals so the flower is 3-D. (please ignore the fact that the pinks don't quite match - it looks ok in real life, but the lighting for the photo must have changed it) I like this card but I always think something is missing if it doesn't have words on it. So .... I'm stepping out of my box today and not putting any words on this one - oooooooohh - I'm so tempted.

Look familiar? This is the picture I used for my blog header. The background is a piece from the Sweet Pea paper pack with the flowers. Then I just added some dimension with the Sweet Pea stitched felt pieces and butterflies, then added the scalloped border on the bottom to look like grass.

Mini Milk Carton

This is the mini milk carton made from the die cut for the Big Shot. If this isn't cute, I don't know what is! They are really small, which is part of the charm, but I think it's the perfect size to put candy inside. I used kraft and pixie pink cardstock that I trimmed with the scalloped trim border punch and then wrapped around the carton. Then I added the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt pieces. VERY easy!! Ooops - almost forgot the chocolate chip 1/2" clip at the top to hold it closed, and the butterfly from the Beautiful Wings embosslit. When I think of it, I will take another picture of it next to something so you can judge the size - you might be surprised.

Just monkeying around! I CASED this idea off of SCS and really liked the idea of using the scalloped square die cut as the base of the card. I folded a piece of CS in half and placed the fold just under one of the edges so it wouldn't cut. The result? a square card with scallops on three sides. Fun to have a different format for a card : -) The monkey is from Fox and Friends and the vine is from the Happy Together set featuring the adorable little partridge chicks and mama bird.
Have a great week!

February Stamp Club

I know, it's about time. I've neglected my blog this week.
Shame on me!!
Here's some pix to enjoy:

Holy Moly!! This paper shoe was made by Stephanie. It wow'ed all our club members! It was made from a template she found on Splitcoast or someone's blog and is the perfect size to hold a small bottle of lotion. What a fun gift to receive!! It's hard to believe that this shoe is one piece, even the flower on the front is connected and "hooks" together to make a full flower.

Here's another view of "the shoe". I'm gonna have to try making this. Here's an idea clubbers- if everyone gets the template - maybe we want to do this as the project exchange next month....?

This is a collection of all the stamp club projects that night. Some pretty cool stuff! Thanks to Sharon - the project exchange theme was to decorate or make a container for some lotion/body wash tubes. She was nice enough to supply everyone with the lotion. Thank you Sharon!

Again, my camera only lasted a couple of pictures before the batteries were dead. I wanted to take some more individual pix but couldn't. I've got to do something about that!! Anyway, there's a top note box (gotta love that top note!), covered toilet paper tube (yeah! go green!), and various cute little boxes.

This is a picture of one of the birthday bags. Each month if there's a birthday, I make some sort of a bag to put their b-day cards in that club members make. This is the Sweet Pea DSP covering a lunch bag. Very easy to put together!
Happy Stamping!!

More Sale-a-Bration Projects!

This birdcage is so fun!! I used to collect birdhouses back in the 90's but now I think I should start collecting birdcages. There's something nostalgic about them. I used some silver cord from the Holiday Mini for the "chain" and added a silver brad. This might be a possible Stamp Club project. Oh, yes Bella Bleu paper again - love that stuff!

Here's another version of the birdcage - you can't go wrong with red and white together. I just used a basic grey marker to ink the cage and a red marker to ink up the bird image.

Here's a little flower pot made out of the Sweet Pea Designer paper and the ornament punch. Yes, this punch has other uses besides Christmas ornaments. Cool! It's nice when things are versatile. The flowers are from Sale-a-Bration. Check out the matching envie!

Sweet! Here are some cute valentines that I CASED from SplitCoast but did change them up a little bit and added a banner and heart. The Pretty in Pink background is the Two Terrific Tags diecut. Melon Manbo - Love that color!

Bookmarks and Gift Tags

Hi Stampers! Here are a couple new pictures for you. I am loving the Bella Bleu Designer Papers with Not Quite Navy and Kraft color scheme! The look is classy but modern too. The top picture features the Vintage Vogue stamp set and are cut using the Big Shot and the 2 Terrific Tags die cut. The second picture also uses that die cut, large oval punch, and the Bella Bleu paper. What a fun little gift for someone!
