Embossed Envelope

I've gotten a couple of questions regarding how Stephanie and I did the embossing on the envelope for the wedding card. I'll try to give you more pictures and details to explain. The above picture shows how I slid the folder into the envelope, with the folder on both sides of the envelope flap.

Above is the other side (front) of the envelope. You want to make sure that you have the top of the folder on the front of the envelope or your image will be "pushed in" rather than be a raised design.
If you see the black writing on the embossing folder on top (Sizzix, SU) - you're good.

Then, the last important tip that Stephanie figured out is that if you crank it only about 3/4 of the way through and then back it out of the big Shot, you won't get "the crinkles" on the bottom of the envelope. Look closely at the above picture, when you can just see that little black square that says Stampin' Up! in the upper right corner, STOP, and reverse the crank to back out.

And Viola!! you have a beautifully embossed envelope worthy of a special wedding card.

I hope this makes sense and helps you in your future embossing projects! Have fun!!
